What is L.E.D Light Therapy?

L.E.D Light Therapy is the application of light energy to the skin for the therapeutic benefits. It is a natural photo-biochemical reaction similar to the process of plant photo-synthesis. NASA's space program has proven that L.E.D Light Therapy promotes wound healing and human tissue growth. A lot of research has shown that energy delivered by the Light Emitting Diodes (L.E.D.) enhances cellular metabolism, accelerates the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells, as well as stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, the foundation of a healthy and smooth skin. The treatment is non-abrasive, non-invasive, painless, and absolutely no downtime. It is safe for all skin type and all ages.

What can I expect from L.E.D. Treatments?

With procedures like L.E.D, Lasers, IPL, and Surgery, there are always some people who don't see the changes they thought they would. It is very important to have your expectations in line with any procedure you are getting. L.E.D. will make gradual changes through time (gentle changes). You will see changes in 1 to 3 months but you will see more changes as time goes on. You will usually recognize the first changes, but it is harder to see the changes the longer you go. That's because you are constantly looking at your face. Therefore, it is hard for you to notice subtle changes. If friends, co-workers and family are saying "you look different", "did you get your hair done?", "you look great" etc. they see all those gradual changes when they look at your whole face. Since you are looking at one or two specific spots on your face with your 10X magnification mirror, you may not see the changes as readily. If you don't do anything you will keep aging with nothing stopping it. However, treatments like L.E.D will slow aging down.

When you are around 40 years of age, your body slows down its production of collegen and elastin. This is when you really start seeing more wrinkles on your face. If you do treatments like L.E.D., Lasers and IPL this will make your body create new collagen and elastin. However you need to keep doing treatments because you keep aging. If you do treatments like this you can look anywhere between 10 to 15 years younger than your age.

It is estimated that nearly 70% of patients made a visible improvement with the blue and red light therapy. Source: British Journal of dermatology 2000; 142, 973-978

How many treatments do I need?

Everybody is a little different on how many treatments they need; it depends on your expectations. If you are looking for your skin to be tight like a face lift, this isn't the procedure for you. However, if you want to see fine lines go away, deeper lines not so deep, your skin looking smoother, healthier, helping with acne scars, and acne, LED Skin Rejuvenation is for you. Plus there is no down time and the cost of the procedure is pennies on the dollar compared to the thousands spent on other procedures. We recommend 3 treatments a week for the first four weeks, than 2 treatments a week to follow. We recommend a six month program for the best results. After six months you can still do twice a week to keep improving your skin or you can do a maintenance program of once or twice a month to maintain. It is much like exercising. The more you work out the better you feel and the stronger you get. The LED Red & Blue light 640nm and 470nm stimulates fibroblast in your skin to make new collagen. The more collagen, the tighter your skin gets.

Do you guarantee results?

No, we don't guarantee results. Any reputable business in skin care knows you can't guarantee results. Various physical conditions, age, skin conditions, diet, alcohol consumption, prescription drug usage, smoking, exercise, treatment regiment, and other factors influence the rate of improvement. The effect of L.E.D Light Therapy are often subtle at first, since unlike lasers, peels and other ablative treatments, LED Skin Rejuvenation does not damage the skin to force it to regenerate. Your results will improve the longer you use the light.

Why are your Skin Rejuvenation prices so low?

Will L.E.D. Light Help with Acne?

Acne can be caused by many factors such as: puberty, menstrual periods, use of birth control pills, heredity, hyperactive sebaceous glands, anabolic steroids, bacteria in the pores, certain drugs, PCOS, stress and other factors. Because of many different factors that cause acne keep your expectations realistic. Some people will do well others not as much. Nothing will cure acne, all we can do is keep it under control. After two to four weekly treatments, most patients experience a reduction in the severity of their acne and a reduction in the number of pustules and papules. If this keeps your breakouts under control, try decreasing treatments. Continue in that manner until you find the right number of monthly sessions necessary to stay ahead of your breakouts. The number of your treatments, your treatment time and your treatment schedule may vary with the severity of your acne.

"[Blue] Light gets at the core of what causes acne eruptions. Propionibacterium acnes (P. acne), the bacteria responsible for causing acne inflammation, pump out tiny molecules called porohyrins. When those porphyrins are exposed to certain wavelengths of light, they produce free radicals that kill the bacteria. Without P. acnes around to cause inflammation, acne clears up." American Academy of Dermatology

L.E.D Light Therapy is non-invasive, non-abrasive, does not cause inflammation and does not require any special post treatment procedures. The light produced by the L.E.D. (Light Emitting Diodes) interact with the body's own natural processes to stimulate collagen and elastin production ( the protein responsible for building the skin's strength and elasticity) in the cells and counteract the effects of aging. L.E.D.s have been proven to safely and effectively penetrate the skin to encourage skin rejuvenation and do not cause downtime or discomfort. In fact, L.E.D Light Therapy is the new therapeutic approach to skin renewal. This also promotes a sense of well-being and relaxation! IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and high powered laser are medical procedures that work by causing thermal damage to the sin and/or underlying tissue. These potentially dangerous and extremely costly skin procedures are performed only by trained medical professionals and can often result in extended downtime and discomfort.

Can I have L.E.D Light Therapy with other treatments?

Yes, L.E.D Light Therapy can be administered alone or in Conjunction, with other treatments. It is highly complementary with other skin treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers as well as non-ablative laser and IPL treatments. Cosmetic surgeons worldwide are beginning to choose L.E.D Light Therapy as one of their preferred treatments for fine lines, hyper-pigmented lesions (brown spots and freckles) and other skin problems associated with photo-aging.
